Job Description

DESCRIPTION

At Amazon Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce (WWR&R), we aspire to zero: zero cost of returns, zero waste, zero defects, and zero carbon footprint.
We are an agile, innovative organization dedicated to ‘making zero happen’ to benefit our customers, company, and environment. We are constantly innovating to create long-term value at Amazon by investing in the future and focusing on the planet, not just on the bottom line. WWR&R includes business, product, program, operational, data, vendor management and software engineering teams, who together manage the lifecycle of returned and damaged products.
In this role, as Snr Manager, Liquidations, you will lead a team of vendor managers and program managers responsible for building and managing our Liquidations Channels that allow Amazon and our Sellers to earn recovery from their returned and damaged products and keep products out of landfill. As the Leader for the Liquidations business you will own the P&L and be responsible for leading and developing a high performing team, setting strategy to drive high recovery growth, creating strong partnerships with vendors, exploring new and emerging business models, running day-to-day operations, and delivering innovation to improve customer experience. This role interacts with a wide audience of stakeholders and customers—ranging from wholesale liquidators to conscientious shoppers who are looking for discounted products on used or damaged goods that help us achieve our goal of zero waste. You will work closely with product, worldwide operations partners, external vendors including wholesale and specialty liquidators, and end consumers to deliver scalable solutions, which solve complex problems. You and your team will own multi-year programs focused on generating recovery and achieving zero waste.

Amazon is Earth’s most customer-centric company and through WWR&R, the Earth is our customer too. Come join us and innovate with the Amazon Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce team!

- Lead RFP negotiations for existing and new Liquidations channels, continuously improving on our contract terms and management of external partners, including payments and scheduling.
- Lead day-to-day operational aspects of the business, including gathering and addressing customer and vendor feedback, price management, and business improvement initiatives
- Setting goals and strategic direction for the business, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision.
- Representing Amazon when meeting with senior executive teams from top vendors and building long term strategic relationships
- Generating and implementing big ideas to drive business improvements, innovation, and scale within the business
